The GRIF centre was established in 1986 with the mission of carrying out both basic and applied research in the areas of Industrial Economics, Competition, Regulation, Economics and Corporate Finance for its own research objectives as well as on external contract.
Over 20 years of research and consultancy experience has lead to the development of long lasting and dynamic partnerships with firms and institutions at the national and international level, with extremely favourable spill-overs to teaching activities.
The GRIF centre promotes seminars, workshops and conferences with researchers, entrepreneurs and managers on the key issues in the private and public sectors. The GRIF centre established the Network Industries LAB (LSR) to foster research studies on competition and regulation issues in the network industries. In less than six years the LSR has promoted more than 50 events in the form of seminars, workshops and conferences (see http://www.lsr-luiss.com/ for additional information) which have been sponsored by the main national and international organizations operating in the network sector such as ACEA, Assorimorchiatori, Autostrade, ENEL, Energia, Esso, Ferrovie dello Stato, GSE, H3G, Macquarie Group, Poste Italiane, Telecom Italia, Terna, Tim, Vodafone and Wind.
The GRIF center takes advantage of and strengthens all possible synergies between academic research, undergraduate and post-graduate teaching activities, professional training and consultancy activities and the main national and international research networks.
