The digital Program in Marketing provides students with a full suite of skills required to understand and manage increasingly complex markets. Students will learn basic and advanced marketing concepts and develop the abilities required to make a positive impact on the society. The program combines rigorous and cutting-edge learning methodologies with a flexible and personalized learning path. Project-based and research-based courses will enable students to challenge themselves in applying forward-looking marketing skills to the most relevant marketing issues. A strong focus on collaborative and team-based learning, a diverse and international background of students and faculty, as well as strong contributions from professionals in the marketing field will further ensure a multi-faceted learning experience. Luiss’ “On-live” digital learning approach is also designed to ensure flexibility and adaptation to personal schedules through a mix of synchronous and asynchronous sessions and interactions with instructors scheduled at students’ convenience. Advanced EdTech solutions such as AI-based tools will further enhance personalized learning and monitoring of progress. Finally, to be prepared for their future, students will have the chance to experience first-hand the marketing world through virtual internships.

Program attendance

 

The program is composed by 3 types of courses requiring different attendance requirements, which are:

  • Research-based courses – comprehend both synchronous and asynchronous lessons with the instructors, aiming at providing students with theoretical and methodological skills useful to approach real life/work situations
  • Project-based courses – comprehend both synchronous and asynchronous lessons with the instructors and practitioners in order to develop practice-oriented activities
  • Characterizing courses – comprehend exclusively asynchronous lessons with the instructors aimed at providing specialized content

All the courses include a weekly interactive and collaborative session with the Teaching Assistant in order to foster knowledge and skills acquired during the course.

 

Synchronous lessons are on-live class held by the instructors during the 12 weeks calendar.

 

Asynchronous lessons are composed by video and curated materials organized in order to meet students’ flexibility and compatibility with other commitments.

 

The Characterizing courses are:

  • Individual Decision Making and Behavioral Strategy
  • Marketing Performance and Business’ KPI
  • Marketing Law & Privacy
  • Design Thinking and Innovation Management

 

Additional credits

 

A scelta dello studente - Elective courses (12 credits)
Students will be provided with a list of elective courses among which will have to choose 2 courses of 6 credits each.

Students are expected to choose the elective course by the end of I year, in order to attend the class in the I semester of the II year. The exam can be held starting from the end of the I semester II year

 

Prova Finale - Master Degree's Final Dissertation (18 credits)
The Master Degree's Final Dissertation consists of a researched-based analysis under the guide of a Supervisor, whose course has already passed the exam by involved students.

The dissertation has to be written in English and, once approved by the Supervisor, will be defended in front of the Academic Board.

 

Ulteriori conoscenze linguistiche – Mandatory language (4 credits)
Students have to attend a mandatory language, choosing among Arabic, Chinese, French, German, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish and Italian (just for non-native speakers). The course will be held during the II semester of the I year.

Tirocini formativi e di orientamento - Internships or project works
An internship or project work is required for 8 credits. The internship or project work can be performed in both the I and II year of the program. For additional information please contact the Career Services Office or Luiss Project Network.

 

Altre conoscenze utili per l’inserimento nel mondo del lavoro - Other activities to gain useful work-related skills
During the Freshers’ Week students will take part to the Learning Innovation Activities, during which students get the opportunity to know Luiss, the Faculty and practitioners involved in the program. The idea behind the project is to help students to familiarize with the new academic environment and supporting the connection between their personal and professional life. Students will develop several skills such as: teamwork, project management, communications and organizational skills, and digital skills.
