
Business Management
LM-77 Scienze economico-aziendali
Graduates of the Business Management program are characterized by their advanced understanding of business operations and their ability to develop a systemic and strategic vision.
The program has four different areas of specialization: Imprenditorialità e family business (Entrepreneurship and Family Business), for students interested in launching new projects or running existing small to medium businesses; Organizzazione e gestione delle risorse umane (Organization and Human Resource Management), for those interested in the HR side of business; Strategic Management, for those interested in working in consulting or managing companies of various sizes; and an individual study plan, for those who are interested in a working as a junior manager or external consultant.

Employment and professional opportunities for graduates
Thanks to the wide variety of functional knowledge and transversal skills offered by the program, graduates are ideal candidates for roles as junior managers in several sectors or as external consultants. Prime career paths are as follows:
- junior manager of a large company
- junior manager of a small or medium company
- junior consultant to companies of various sizes
- entrepreneur leading a startup

Elective courses (12 credits)
At the end of the I year, students must choose two courses through Web Self Service to obtain 12 elective credits. These courses may be chosen from courses in their major, other majors and electives. One elective must be taken in English.
Students who choose the individual study plan must choose their electives through Web Self Services and submit their study plan to the director of the Department for approval.
Final exam
The final exam (18 credits) for master’s degree students includes preparing and defending a thesis written in Italian or another language on a topic related to a course taken during the student’s years of study.
Foreign language skills
Students must register for the four-credit Business English course, to be taken during the II semester of the I year. For more information, contact the University Language Center.
Internship or Project Work
Students must also register for an internship or project work worth 8 credits. Students may also perform the internship or project during the first year of studies. For more information, contact the Career Services Office or read more about the Project Work network.
Additional skills for the workplace
Students must register for a four-credit Ethics, Responsibility and Sustainability workshop. Students will receive more information during meetings, notices and emails during their first year of studies.

For selection purposes (Exchange Programs, Double Degrees, Structured Partnerships) account will be taken of all credits earned and recorded by the end of the winter exam session (including credits earned from internships, languages, seminars, soft skills, summer schools, courses brought forward, etc.). Credits earned from additional courses (corsi liberi) will not count.
