Mandatory pre-program courses and recovery of additional learning requirements

  • First-year students in Management and Computer Science in 2020/2021 are required to take the pre-program course in Mathematics to prepare a solid base to begin the degree program. The pre-program course is scheduled for Freshers’ Week, September 7-12, 2020, with live lessons.

    Following the course, students must take a final exam. Students who do not pass the final exam must retake the course during their first year. Check the information about the professors, timetable and rooms for the mandatory pre-program course in Matematica:

    The University will also upload pre-recorded lessons to Moodle. Throughout the year, various sessions will be held to prepare for the exam.

Multimedia course (ECDL) 

Luiss Guido Carli University offers a modular multimedia course on basic computer skills to prepare for the European Computer Driver’s License (ECDL). The course is offered through Moodle, accessible through Luiss Learn using students’ Luiss email credentials (name.surname@studenti.luiss.it). From the Digital Skills section of the homepage, students need only select ECDL video courses to begin.

In order to take:

  • Informatica for students enrolled in Economia and Management
  • Introduction to Computer Programming for students enrolled in Management and Computer Science

It is mandatory to pass the ECDL modules in Word Processing, Spreadsheets, and Presentation.
