Skill-a-bus

The objective of the course is to give participants skills required to enter the job market, including a module on highly requested project management.

Students are required to attend all five modules.

Module I - Teamwork and Leadership

Total length: 12 hours, divided into 2 consecutive days

The aim of this module is to develop the ability to work in groups, as well as to acquire an awareness of the dynamics that influence the behavior of individuals in formal and informal groups, in order to better manage these dynamics, whether as a team member or a team leader, acquiring the awareness of incentives and attitudes that motivate and inspire others, a fundamental skill for excellence in any position of responsibility.

Module II - Diversity Management

Total length: 12 hours, organized over 2 consecutive days

The module's aim is to introduce students to the dynamics of idea integration, diversity practices in magement processes, and learning from within a company and its environment. Diversity Management is active, conscious development of a forward-thinking, value-centered managerial process to accept differences and use them to strengthen an organization.

Module III - Negotiation and Conflict Resolution

Total length: 12 hours, organized over 2 consecutive days

The aim of this module is to analyze and practice communication skills and negotiation techniques in order to guide parties with conflicting interests towards common solutions.

Modulo IV - Problem Solving 

Total length: 12 hours, divided into 2 consecutive days

The aim of this module is to analyze techniques and tools needed to creatively solve complex problems, which is a useful skill in any environment. Students will also learn to compete and cooperate and to create favorable conditions that lead to successful solutions.

Modulo V - Project and Process Management

Total length: 12 hours, divided into 2 consecutive days

The aim of this module is to introduce students to the logic and tools needed to work in organizations, and to show them how their own actions contribute to the big picture. Students will develop an overall vision necessary for managerial roles.

The course lasts a total of 60 hours. To receive credit, students must attend 48 hours, 70% of the total course hours, and pass a final evaluation stipulated by the instructor.

The course is offered in Italian (90 students) and English (60 students).

Students enrolled in English-language degree programs will be automatically registered for the course in English.

Students will be divided into groups by alphabetical order. It is not possible to choose a group.
