Bachelor’s degree and master’s degree academic programs consist of a “rigid” part of core courses, which cannot be replaced by other courses, and several “flexible” courses, which must be taken in order to earn the required credits for the final degree. Students are asked to make choices regarding these courses.

For core courses in the degree programs, please see the Academic programs section of the site.

To make their selections, students must fill out the study plan online (using the Web Self Service) during the periods and according to the procedures set out every year and communicated through the usual channels.

Students enrolled in the 1st year of the Master’s degree programs in Business Accounting, Economics and Business Management and Management have to choose the 4 credits activities.

In particular they have to choose between:

  • language
  • other activities

From June 3 to 27, 2014, the following selections must be made

Bachelor’s degree program in Economics and Management – those enrolled in their first year (who first enrolled in 2013/2014)

Students enrolled in their first year in 2013/2014 must choose how they want to earn the 4 credits of “other activities.”
Using the Web Self Service, students must choose between two macrogroups:

  • A second language – to be chosen from Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish or German;
  • Other activities” – to be chosen from seminars, internships, soft skills, the School of Future Leaders, CEISS, Model United Nations projects, or other activities offered by the Department.

Bachelor’s degree program in Economics and Management – students enrolled in their second year (who first enrolled in 2012/2013)

Students enrolled in their second year (who first enrolled in 2012/2013), must proceed with the compilation of study plans by choosing, using the Web Self Service:

Their major and elective courses.

Master’s degree programs in Business Accounting; Economics and Business Management; and Management – students enrolled in their first year (who first enrolled in 2013/2014)

Students enrolled in their first year in 2013/2014 must proceed with the compilation of study plans by selecting, using the Web Self Service:

  • Elective courses

From November 14 to 24, 2013: select credits for "other activities"

Master’s degree programs in Business Consulting, Economics and Business Management, and Management

Students enrolled in their first year in 2013/2014 must choose how they want to earn the 4 credits of “other activities” in their study plan.

Specifically, students must choose from among two groups:

  • A second language – to be chosen from Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish or German;
  • “Other activities” – to be chosen from seminars, internships, soft skills, the School of Future Leaders, the Model United Nations project, or other activities offered by the Department.

Students must indicate, using the Web Self Service, whether they intend to register for a second language course to earn the 4 credits or whether they will earn the 4 credits in another way (by taking one of the other activities).

  • Students who wish to register for a language course must select the box with the language they wish to take. Please note: students who do not choose an optional language by the deadline cannot be added to language courses later on.
  • Students who have decided not to take a language course, and who wish to acquire the 4 credits through a different activity, must select the box marked “other activities”.

Registration for individual activities within “other activities” must be completed through the offices for those activities. Specifically:

Please note that the selection of one of these options in order to earn the 4 credits entails the exclusion of the other ones.

Please note: students who are already registered for seminars offered in the 2013/2014 academic year will have to fill out the study plan using the Web Self Service and then click on “Confirm this plan.”

June 2014: compilation of the study plan

Bachelor’s degree programs in Economics and Management

Students registered in their first year

Students registered in their first year (who first enrolled in 2013/2014) will have to proceed with the compilation of their study plans in June 2014 (dates to be determined), and choose how they would like to acquire the 4 credits required by their academic program for “other activities.”

Using the Web Self Service, students must choose between two groups:

  • A second language – to be chosen from Arabic, Chinese, French, Portuguese, Russian, Spanish or German;
  • Other activities - to be chosen from seminars, internships, soft skills, the School of Future Leaders, the Model United Nations project or other activities offered by the Department.

Students registered in their second year

Students registered in their second year (who first enrolled in 2012/2013) will have to proceed with the compilation of their study plans in June 2014 (dates to be determined), and select, using the Web Self Service:

  • their major;
  • their elective courses.
